Specific Message For   MARGARET EVANS :

Margaret and George Frederick passed on the gene for Hemophilia to their descendants. It is unknown which one carried it. I would be interested in knowing if any descendants from either the Evans or Frederick line have displayed hemophilia in the family.

They had 4 daughters who were Elizabeth, Silence, Jane and Mary Ann (not Marion) who married Joseph Washington McCray (not Moony). Lucinda was a daughter in law. They also had 4 sons, William, Matthew, Jacob and 1 unknown.

Specific Message For   GERTRUDE BLOOM BEALS :

Hello, I am looking for information on Gertrude Bloom Beals. Do you happen to have the death record for her or any other information? I could see by the census in 1930 that her daughter Helen Winifred Court ended up living with her grandmother Laura C. Patrick. This is my great and great great grandmothers and I would be obliged if you have any information for me or could point me in the right direction. Thanks so much for your time. Sincerely, Margene Calder

Specific Message For   DAVID MIZELL, III SHERIFF :

I found this photo of Sheriff Mizell on Florida Memory. He wouldn't have been the first sheriff of Orange county since it was created on January 30, 1845 (containing parts of present-day Flagler, Volusia, Lake Seminole, Brevard, and Orange counties). He was appointed to the office by Governor Reed on September 8, 1868.

To the Moser family, I have performed the story of Ruby Pearl for several years, performing for NWOSU, Enid Historical Society, Waynoka Historical Society, Dodge City Historical Society, Protection KS historical society, and many other groups. I love telling the story of a warm and interesting woman. She was so genuine and open. (I didn't know until I read in this history, that Roy was killed in Protection, KS)

I have quite a bit of research about that family, particularly Abraham Bates Tower, born in 1837.

Specific Message For   ISHAM FANNIN, DR. :

I am wondering if you can name the mother of our hero...James Walker Fannin..I know his maternal grandfather was James W. Walker who I am assuming must have lived next door to the family of Dr. Isham Fannin. I know who his parents are but am not seeing anything on the family of James W. Walker.....the grandfather of James Walker Fannin. I would think it would be fairly easy to figure out. Do you know what happened to James Walker Fannin's mother? She gave us a hero...I would like to give her respect!

Pam,

Thanks for your comment. You are right. You would think it would be easy. And we certainly should list her if we can. But I and a lot of other people have tried with no success. It would seem that her records have been expunged.

In some cases, James Walker Fannin's maternal grandfather is listed as George Walker, and in some James W. Walker. But neither have daughters documented. There is a George Walker during that time that was fairly active in the development of Twiggs County, Georgia; which is where Marion is at.

Another interesting fact, a lot of historians document that Isham had an affair with her while she was employed on his brother's plantation. But, neither the brother's name or her name is ever mentioned.

I think a trip to that county would help. But that will take time.

Specific Message For   LISA KAYE PATRICK PERRY :

How can I get some information added/corrected on this site? I was looking for my birth mother and found my maternal grandfather listed, as well as my adoptive mother's entire family - back to 1760's. I'm quite impressed, and would like to share this information with my one cousin - who has our family documents.

The work done on this is amazing!

Email is the best way to reach me. Thanks for any input.

Thanks!

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you found the site. Yes, please send me any updates or additional information that you have, and I will make sure the database is updated. I am always looking for current info, as my Dadís research stopped a decade ago. Please have your cousin look as well. Also, any photos, or documents that you might want to appear on the site Ė please forward those as well.

There is a comments section at the bottom of all of the record screens, as well as a Suggest Tab on top of each screen. There are also Photo and Headstone submission links on each record. And finally, you could fill out some Family Group Worksheets linked on the Main page. Please use any of these options to communicate your changes to me.

Again, thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Specific Message For   ABRAHAM LAFAYETTE ("BUD") FANNIN :

This site is great. I am one of the daughters of the person you call Aberham Lafayette. his name is Aberam (due to an error on his birth certificate). His mother's nickname was Mollie not Holly. That is what is on her headstone. Thomas Jefferson, Mollie and Austin are all buried at Old Letot Cementary in Dallas, Texas. Doris was a child of his first marriage and she married Leo Livingston and they had one child David. My father was actually (according to him) married five times but I do not know the names. My mother was his last wife and they were married in 1948.

Specific Message For   ABRAHAM LAFAYETTE ("BUD") FANNIN :

I am so glad you replied. It would have been really nice to be able to speak with your dad about the history of our family. I did speak to my aunt and she did say that the date of Gracie Inez Fannin and Abraham Lafayette's marriage is wrong. Gracie was not born until 1922 so she could not have married Abraham in 1914 cause she wasn't born. Gracie and Abraham did have 4 children. Laura Fannin, Janice Fannin, James Floyd Fannin Sr., and Albert Wayne Fannin Sr. I do appreciate all your help with this information. If you have any pointers on how to find information I would greatly appreciate it. I just started my family tree about a couple weeks ago and I have gotten a lot of information but there comes a point when you get stuck. I know you said your dad is the one that did most of the research but maybe if he gave you pointers on how to find information then that would be great. I could use all the help I can get. Again, I want to thank you for having this tree available and on the internet. I know it has been such a great help to me. If I come across anything else then I will let you know and if you come across anything please don't hesitate to email me. God bless you and have a wonderful day!

Dad always tried to get his information from courthouses. He would go through marriage records, death records, property records and birth records looking for the names he was interested in. He would got to areas that he knew family had originated in. He also got some information from census records, but they weren't as easy to access as they are now. Now you can do most of this stuff online, and you donít even have to travel to the courthouse. Cemeteries were a favorite of Dadís too. (Ha) I remember him dragging us through many cemeteries when I was a kid. We got chiggers one time in an overgrown area. That night in the motel, we were all putting the Campho Phenique on.

A lot of the information is passed down from people like you and your Aunt. As youíre looking through the site, you will see in the sources and notes where Dad got the information from.

Thanks again, and please stay in touch.
