Obituary George E. Howser 54, dies in St. Louis Visitation in Tamaroa September 19, 1973 Obituary George Ernest Howser, 54, of Fenton Mo., Died Wednesday Sept. 19, 1973 in St. John Mercy Hospital, St. Louis. Born Nov. 20, 1918, in Wellston, Okla., he was the son of Ed and Nellie Mae (Wakley) Howser, both deceased, a wife Nell Mitchell Howser. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, the Former Florence Stockton; one son, S-Sgt. George Howser, Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Della Howser, Whittier, Calif.; one step-daughter, Dana Burns, Lexington, Ky.; three brothers Raymond of Hacienda Heights, Calif., Russell of Chandler, Okla., and Floyd of Hoisington, Kans.; one sister Nellie Mae Kates Cushing, Okla.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Saturday from Kringer Funeral Home, Tamaroa, with Rev. Richard Crabtree of Pinckneyville, officiating. Visitation is after 6 pm Friday at the funeral home.
